Wheels Week 2019

 

Wheels Week 2019 saw the Ashburton Car Club holding 4 events over the 2 weeks. We had 164 competitors that entered the Silver Fern Farms Motorkhana, AutoSparks Street Sprint, Night Autocross and finally the Suzie Morrison and Grant Gordon Memorial Night Trial.

 

All the great comments, photos, memories, new friends, personal achievements and goals. Along with some really good articles in local papers and even the Ashburton Mayor Donna Favel going for a sponsor ride with Peter Templeton is an achievement in its self.

 

Over those 2 weeks we have had numerous photographers, video photographers who have put up some fantastic work. It was great for the competitors to see and also the organises to see these pictures as well has as having a visual way of seeing things they may not see otherwise.

 

To all the families, friends, parents and children that can see what the Ashburton Car Club does as a group, we hope we show you there are opportunities out there to do this type of activity and show that anyone can have a go.

Also to all the volunteers which there are many of you from the organisers, marshals, clean up groups, catering, hot drinks, commentators, time keepers, trial checkers etc etc. Without these people none of these events would be possible.

 

The last 2 weeks have been very successful for the club and long may it continue.  Roll on 2020!
